Council Dayton Axe - 5 lb Head - 28" Straight Handle

Council Tool's 5 lb Fallers single bit axe with a 28" straight wooden handle is a mid-sized felling axe for general axe chores including driving wedges. A longer poll for balance, and a larger surface area, including chamfered poll corners, help to reduce damage while driving HDPE plastic felling wedges. The head is hydraulically seated onto the handle and secured with a serrated aluminum wedge. The serrated shape improves bite size and the aluminum choice of material is strong, lightweight and does not change size with moisture content.
