DICA LiftGuard 9" Grooved Magnetic Edge Protector (1/2" Groove, 7" Max Sling Width)

DICA LiftGuard Sling Protectors prevent damage to slings caused by contact with abrasive edges, corners, or protrusions from loads being lifted. They also keep the sling away from other significant contact points during lifting operations.

• Made from non-metallic High-Performance Cast Nylon (HPCN)
• LiftGuard Edge Protectors attach magnetically and can be used with synthetic, wire rope or chain slings
• LiftGuard Grooved Magnetic Sling Protectors have a working load limit of 6250 lbs per square inch of synthetic sling width
• Edge protection is critical in preventing sling failure and is a requirement in current sling safety standards (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.184(c)(9) and ASME B30.9)
• Overall Length: Equates to the total end to end length of a sling protector
• Safe Operating Zone: The useable area between the raised shoulders of the sling protector

  • Caution – If your sling width under load is wider than the safe operating zone, the sling will point load
• 1” Sling Capacity: The maximum capacity per lineal inch of sling contact, ASSUMING the face of the sling protector (the portion in contact with the load) is in 100% contact on both the vertical and horizontal load surfaces

• Stated capacities are based on FULL CONTACT of the sling protectors horizontal and vertical surfaces and the load
• The I-Beam Flange or plate edge MUST contact the back of the groove and the plate top and bottom MUST fit snug in the groove with no more than 1/16" slack between the groove and the plate's top and bottom edges
• The steel flange MUST fit snugly into the groove
• All three surfaces MUST be in FULL CONTACT with the load
