Ochsenkopf OX 45 Aluminum Hollow Wedge is offered in two styles: OX-45-5650, the corrugated version, has diagonal grooves on one side and two longitudinal grooves on the other side to help prevent the wedge from jerking back of the wedge even in hard and frozen wood. OX-45-5650 includes corrugated aluminum hollow-wedge, wood shaft and aluminum ring. OX 45-0650, the plain version, has two longitudinal ribs on both sides to help keep the wedge straight. OX 45-0650 includes plain aluminum hollow-wedge, wood shaft and aluminum ring. Both style hollow wedges are forged from high-quality aluminum. The shaft extends the wedge-effect and thus enables a higher splitting and spreading effect. The aluminum ring prevents wood from splintering when driving. Particularly developed for a bigger wood diameter, Ochsenkopf OX 45 Aluminum Hollow Wedges are excellent for both felling and splitting.
